Powerball Winning Numbers February 1, 2014 2-1-14 Results Reach $194M

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Powerball winning numbers for February 1, 2014 results have reached $194 million, officials tell news. Did anyone win the Powerball numbers last night, and how big will the next draw become? Officials told news today that no one correctly selected the Powerball winning number from last night. As a result, Powerball is rolling over to Saturday’s draw. It will be worth one hundred ninety-four million dollars with a one hundred ten million dollar cash value.

The Powerball winning numbers for 2/1/14 are delivering one of the highest possible payouts this year. Last night, no one won the jackpot. But there were several other big winners. First officials tell news that there were five of the Match Five one million draw. Those residents heralded from Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, New Jersey and New York. Second, however, there was no Match 5 Powerplay two million dollar winner. Overall there were roughly six hundred thousand winners earning a combined $8.6 million dollars last night.

One person who knows how it feels to win Powerball in February is Frank Griffin who won Powerball this week four years ago. “Just days before Valentine’s Day, an Asheville man and his wife of 46 years got a sweet surprise – to the tune of $141.4 million”, officials told news at the time. “Frank Griffin of Asheville, a retired firefighter with over 20 years of service, won the Powerball jackpot after his ticket matched all five white balls and the Powerball in the Saturday, Feb. 6 drawing.”

Griffin said he felt incredible after the win. Powerball in a news statement said “Griffin told reporters that he ‘felt fantastic’ and that the prize money will allow him to ‘play more golf.’ He also said he plans to spend more time with his family and possibly take a trip to Hawaii.”

In this case, Griffin won on computer selected numbers. “The Asheville retiree told reporters that after buying gas at the Wilco on Smokey Park Highway in Asheville, he had $5 left over and decided to purchase some lottery tickets. He let the computer pick his numbers.” For Powerball results as they are announced Saturday click HERE.
