Officials tell news that a 4.6 magnitude Tokyo, Japan earthquake struck at 6:53 pm local time today. The quake was east of Tokyo. But it posted a significant depth. While on land, the quake was thirty-nine miles below ground level. As a result the quake was felt across the immediate region.
The quake was four miles east of Chiba-she. The quake was five miles south of Yotsukaido and six miles northeast of Ichihara. The quake was nine miles southwest of Yachimata and twenty-eight miles east of Tokyo.
Another quake struck today as well in Japan. That quake was a 4.7 magnitude, reps tell news. It hit thirteen miles below sea level off the coast. That quake was one hundred sixteen miles north of Tokyo, thirty-five miles east of Hitachi and twenty-nine miles east of Takahagi. The quake was twenty-four miles of Iwaki as well. That quake hit at 6:37 pm local time. “Subduction zones at the Japanese island arcs are geologically complex and produce numerous earthquakes from multiple sources”, USGS indicates to news.
