The elimination process is relatively straight forward. The top two teams in each group advances. The bottom two teams at the end of the group stage are eliminated.
Since there are only four teams in each group, there are only three group games during the group stage. As a result, two wins likely sends a team to the quarterfinals.
So far in Group A, South Africa and Mali are in first place with three points each. Nigeria and Mozambique are currently tied in last place with no points. In Group B, Uganda is currently in first place with three points. Morocco and Zimbabwe each have one point while Burkina Faso has none, officials tell news.
