NFL Playoff Bracket 2014: Schedule Reveals Saints vs. Seahawks Game

NFL Playoff Bracket 2014: Schedule Reveals Saints vs. Seahawks Game printablel

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – The NFL Playoff Bracket 2014 Schedule revealed the Saints vs. Seahawks game for next weekend. But who do the Broncos play, who will the Patriots face, what is the latest NFL Printable Bracket, and when will the complete NFL Playoff Bracket Schedule be determined? Football fans learned yesterday that the NFL Playoff Bracket 2014 is not a fixed bracket system like you see for example in NCAA Basketball. As a result, when the Colts won Saturday, it was not apparent at the time which team they would face. But when the Saints won, fans immediately knew that the Saints vs. Seahawks game is on schedule for next weekend. So how does the NFL Playoff system work?

The NFL Playoff Bracket 2014 is not a traditional bracket system in which you can you look at the first weekend and see which team advances purely based upon a win. Rather NFL Playoff Schedule 2014 uses a variable bracket system with seeding and re-seeding. The premise is to put the Divisional leader against the lowest winning seed team and the second place Divisional team against the highest winning seed team from this weekend.

Hence, the keys are which teams have which seeds. The Broncos (AFC) and Seahawks (NFC) are first seed teams. So they will face the winners from this weekend that have the lowest seed. The Patriots (AFC) and Panthers (FC) are second seed teams. They will face next weekend that highest winning seeds from this weekend.

The Chargers (AFC) and Saints (NFC) are the lowest seeds, at sixth position. So if either of them win, they would face the Broncos and Seahawks guaranteed. Last night, the Saints won and so they are heading to face the Seahawks next weekend.

And who are the Colts playing? Fans won’t know that until the conclusion of Bengals-Chargers game. If the Chargers win, they will face the Broncos and the Colts face the Patriots. If the Bengals win, they will face the Patriots and the Colts face the Broncos. For a printable bracket, click HERE and choose print from your browser, printing page one only.
