LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – What happened to Destin and Rachel on Patti Stanger’s Millionaire Matchmaker, where did Destin Pfaff and Rachel Federoff go, and is Bravo developing a Destin and Rachel show for next season? Destin Pfaff and Rachel Federoff’s faces appear on Patti Stanger’s matchmaking website still today. Their Bravo blogs appear on last season’s telecasts from spring 2013. But Destin Pfaff and Rachel Federoff have left Millionaire Matchmaker on Bravo. And much like Stanger’s previous seasons, Patti wrongly leaves the storyline about their exit initially unexplained in the show. Instead, Patti and Bravo wrongly leave viewers having to search for the answers inside a WWHL video and across social media posts. But when you compare Patti’s remarks, with and Destin and Rachel’s comments, there is inconsistency.
Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger did not tell Andy Cohen freely what happened to Destin and Rachel. Rather, Stanger only answered the question, which she calls the “infamous” question, when a viewer calls in. Patti’s version of the story is that Destin and Rachel allegedly wanted to leave the show. “Destin and Rachel wanted to do their own thing. Rachel always her own jewelry company Dustin always wanted to make movies. You can’t live in someone’s shadows for the reset of their lives. It is not a Rachel and Brad situation.”
Destin and Rachel tell news that they left the show. “And yes, we left by choice to pursue new endeavors.” But why did they leave, and did they leave on a happy note?
Destin has retweeted comments from others this week “I’m super [..upset] Where’s @destinpfaff this is –S and I’m not talking about Barbra Streisand @Bravotv.” He also retweeted “You were both the heart of the show! #millionairematchmaker is not the same.” He and Rachel wrote “The outpouring of support from our east coast fans has been AMAZING! Thank u so much for ur tweets, emails &FBs. @RachelFederoff & I love u!” But Destin also retweeted the remark “You need to get them their own dating show for non millionaires & unusual people!”
As reported exclusively last summer, Kenya Moore’s friend and producer Brandon DeShazer was displeased with Bravo for listing him as Kenya’s “assistant” for two seasons on Real Housewives of Atlanta, even though he was never her assistant. Now Destin tells news that he is displeased that he too was called an “assistant” for Stanger, even though he was not. “For the record, @RachelFederoff & I were not ‘assistants’ – I ran a multi-million dollar company and was a fantastic matchmaker and Rachel was VP of Matchmaking. There’s nothing wrong with being an assistant, but we worked very hard to get to where we were with Patti and the show – and the frustrating public perception that we didn’t do so many many things with her, the company, the clients and the show is now amplified by a false statement that we were ‘assistants’ in tonight’s episode. Ugh. Whatever. Ok moving on- here’s to new film and tv endeavors and @DNRBrands ! We wish Patti and the show much success! We love you friends, family and FANS! Please show your support via twitter and Facebook and any social networking – we love hearing from you ! And yes, we left by choice to pursue new endeavors.”
