LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Celine Dion is not dead 2013. No Celine Dion plane crash, car crash, or any other crash has happened tonight. But at least two old fake death RIP stories are striking the singer once again tonight. Celine has not died, nor has Jackie Chan or Eddie Murphy.
A fake Celine Dion plane crash story has been online for years. But tonight, that same false RIP death story is prompting confusing again among fans. The culprit last year was MediaFetcher aka Global Associated. The same culprit is behind tonight’s confusion. And this evening there is not just a fake plane crash but also a fake car crash story.
The fake plane crash story entitled “Celine Dion presumed dead in private plane crash” falsely states that a crash has happened at “Denver Peak-Regional Airport”. There is no such airport. Celine wasn’t traveling in the region either.
Global further tells readers “a small private aircraft in distress ceased radio contact with the control tower and fell below radar frequency after reporting engine trouble and smoke in the cockpit. Actress, Celine Dion was believed to have been a passenger on the flight.”
But Global is prompting confusion tonight with another fake Celine Dion crash story. This one concerns a car. The fake story reads “(Local Team News 9) Celine Dion died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body.”
Apparently Global didn’t have time to change the “He” to a “She”. Global has before used the same story template to falsely kill off Lil Wayne and David Guetta. Global also writes “Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that Celine Dion lost control while driving a friend’s vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly.” Global has used the same tale against “him” and other female singers as well.
Celine Dion is not dead. Lil Wayne is alive. And Miley Cyrus has not died.
