ST LOUIS (LALATE) – The Trucker Protest 2013 will start Washington DC I-495 traffic from October 11 to October 13, officials tell news. The Trucker Protest 2013 dominated Fox News all day yesterday. They also prompted a whirlwind of confusion as news statements suggested claims about arresting the President, cancelling the event, firing their spokesperson, and, yes “keep on trucking” with their idea.
So is Trucker Protest 2013 still happening? It depends when you ask that question. But currently this morning, The Trucker Protest is back on schedule after a mass of confusion yesterday and a media relations nightmare. So what happened?
First, The Trucker Protest will launch October 11, 2013 and last until October 13, 2013. Second, it will occur in Washington DC on I-495. Third, it will involve semitrucks lined up three lanes across driving precisely at 55 mph.
Fourth, the number of trucks anticipated could be huge. Reports put that number at three thousand. Fifth, the truckers will start at Doswell Truck Stop in Doswell, Va. And finally, the only way to pass the truckers is to have a sign on your car which reads “T2SDA” which stands for “Truckers to Shut Down America.”
So is the Trucker Protest cancelled? No says new representatives. Shortly after the original dynamics of the plan were announced to news, one individual claiming to be associated with the group told a national news site that he will seek to arrest the President. “We want these people arrested, and we’re coming in with the grand jury to do it,” he said.”We are going to ask the law enforcement to uphold their constitutional oath and make these arrests. If they refuse to do it, by the power of the people of the United States and the people’s grand jury, they don’t want to do it, we will. … We the people will find a way.”
Thereafter, that person retracted his comments. And then he said that the protest was cancelled. By late in the day, other members of T2SDA came out and claimed that man is not a part of their group, that the event was never cancelled in the first group, that he’s not even a trucker and that he was never a spokesperson for the organization.
Soon the Trucker Protest became a protest among its members. “Folks, here’s the entire scoop on US News & World Report attempting to get a sensational title from someone not authorized to speak on behalf of all peaceful protesters. As we approach the event, this is what we can expect from the MSM and potential saboteurs — but NOTHING will stop us!” The Protest, at least for now, is still trucking.
