LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – Is Vicki Gunvalson leaving Real Housewives of Orange County, is Vicki “done” with RHOC, and will Real Housewives of Orange County have a new cast for the 2013-2014 season? Vicki Gunvalson fumes that she is “done” with RHOC in the part three reunion telecast. Her on-air comments, in the heat of the moment, have left fans guessing if Vicki Gunvalson is leaving the show. But by all accounts, the comments were simply a teaser to get RHOC ratings.
Vicki Gunvalson is not leaving Real Housewives of Orange County. But before this season, LALATE reported that Gunvalson was left in the dark if she would be returning for another season. Gunvalson told news before the 2013 season, filmed last year, that she was unsure if she would be invited back.
From there, a series of false casting reports began to surface online. One claimed that Vicki would replaced with her daughter Briana becoming a full housewife. Another false report claimed RHOC had casted a new housewife who then promptly quit the show causing producers to rehire Alexis Bellino back to the show. Another third false report claimed that Alexis Bellino was not invited back based upon salary demands and then re-invited back by producers.
But confirmed reports indicated that RHOC producers had a difficult time last year finding possible new cast members. A casting notice was sent out before the current season was filmed seeking new cast members. But nothing came of that.
This season, multiple reports claimed that Gretchen Rossi gave producers very few storylines this season in comparison to other cast members. As reported on LALATE exclusively, Rossi’s engagement was filmed only after production had wrapped for the season.
For now, Vicki is returning to the show, if the show wants her back. “That teeter totter really gets pushed sometimes, but I like it. I like the drama. I like the craziness. I like to juggle a lot of things at once. I was told if you want a big life you’ll have big problems and if you want a small life, you’ll have small problems. I’m a big life kind of girl.”
Based upon current casting trends on other Bravo shows, producers are likely to re-invite the entire cast back in either full or partial capacities.
