LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Cleghorn Fire Map 2013 grew today as the San Bernardino, CA wildfire in the Cajon Pass spread. Confusion increased yesterday as two California wildfires started near the 1-15 Freeway. But in the latest news update today August 18, 2013, officials indicate that one fire is extinguished while the other is now 45% contained. But is I-15 closed from the fire?
Cleghorn Fire Map 2013 now covers only one of the two original fires that started on Saturday. The northern fire started on the east side of I-15 and near Cleghorn Road. Officials explain to news that “The fires both started on the east side of I-15 and south of Cleghorn Road.” Yesterday, the second and remaining fire “burned rapidly northeast and crossed Cleghorn Road 2N47.” The fire is currently at one hundred ten acres.
Meantime, I-15 is fully open in both directions today August 18, 2013, officials tell news. Other streets are closed however. “Cleghorn Rd Exit and Cleghorn OHV Road 2N47 remain closed. Old Route 66 is closed between Kenwood Ave. and Cleghorn Rd. Lost Lake Day Use Area is closed due to helicopter operations”, officials also tell news. For the latest fire map click HERE.
