ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice jail time is being sought in a massive federal criminal indictment. Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice will be charged on 39 criminal counts Tuesday. A federal grand jury has already approved a 39 count indictment moments ago against Teresa and Joe.
The Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice criminal indictment does not concern Joe’s DMV case. Joe Giudice is set to stand trial in a criminal case stemming from allegedly fake DMV records. That state court case does not concern wife Teresa.
But the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the IRS are going off to Teresa and Joe for alleged conduct that stems back to the first season of RHONJ.
“The privilege of living well in the United States carries certain real responsibilities…” Shantelle P. Kitchen, Special Agent in Charge, IRS-Criminal Investigation, Newark Field Office, said in an news statement today to FOX. “Today’s indictment alleges the Giudices did not live up to their responsibilities by failing to file tax returns, falsifying loan applications and concealing assets in their bankruptcy petition.”
The lawsuit claims that the two have committed together alleged mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. It claims that he failed to file tax returns from 2004 to 2008. The suit claims the two lied to banks and a bankruptcy court. “The indictment returned today alleges the Guidices lied to the bankruptcy court, to the IRS and to a number of banks,” U.S. Attorney Fishman said in a news statement. “Everyone has an obligation to tell the truth when dealing with the courts, paying their taxes and applying for loans or mortgages. That’s reality.”
