LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Silverwood Fire Map 2013, for the San Bernardino California wildfire, is growing today. Officials on the Silverwood Fire near Lake Silverwood report that SR138 is currently closed near SR173. The California fire which began today July 25, 2013 is quickly being controlled by fire officials.
The Silverwood Fire Map 2013 latest news update today reports that the fire is near Summit Valley. It is located northwest of Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead and Crestline. It’s currently burned east of I-15, north of I-215 and northwest of Silverwood Lake.
The fire began roughly two hours ago, LALATE can report. Witnesses spotted the fire erupted Thursday just after 3:05 PM.
Officials report that the fire is “along State Highway 138, west of State Highway 173 in Summit Valley. State Highway 138 will remain closed to all traffic from Summit Valley Road to State Highway 173 until 10:00PM.”
CalFire tweeted news just after 5:30 PM tonight that “Firefighters are battling a 75 acre fire near Summit Valley, Hwy 138 West of Lake Silverwood (San Bernardino County).” USFS Fire-California tweeted that the fire is at 75 acres tonight. San Bernardino NF tweeted closures, namely “SR138 closure until 10PM” and “SR138 closed from SR173 to Summit Valley Rd.” The fire was at ten acres just two hours ago.
