LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Aaron Hernandez and girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins had surveillance video recording the night of Odin Lloyd. Moments ago, images from that surveillance video were released to news. Police allegedly assert that the above picture shows Aaron Hernandez allegedly walking around inside his house with the murder weapon moments after the Odin Lloyd murder.
Aaron Hernandez girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins told police that her sister was Odin Lloyd’s boyfriend, according to search warrants released moments ago. Surveillance video images from the Aaron Hernandez and Shayanna Jenkins home were released to news Thursday. One of those images is above featuring Aaron Hernandez inside his residence allegedly with the murder weapon in his hand.
New search warrants released today reveal that Aaron Hernandez and girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins were visited by police shortly after the murder of Odin Lloyd, LALATE can report. Multiple references in the warrants cover Jenkins’ interaction with police hours after Odin Lloyd’s death. Jenkins is not a suspect in the Lloyd case.
Aaron Hernandez and girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins both told police that Odin Lloyd was dating Jenkins’ sister. Search warrants released today detail what Jenkins and Hernandez allegedly told police about Lloyd.
When they went to the Hernandez-Jenkins home, police told Aaron Hernandez that someone had been murdered. Hernandez allegedly did not ask police whose death was under investigation. When they identified the victim as Odin Lloyd, Hernandez told police that Lloyd was the boyfriend of Jenkins’ sister.
Police then asked Hernandez to come to a local police station to talk to investigators. Hernandez agreed and asked if he could bring Shayanna Jenkins. Police agreed. At the station, police asked Jenkins if Lloyd was dating his sister.
Jenkins said that he was. But she further told police that Lloyd was a marijuana dealer and smoke marijuana. As reported previously on LALATE, local news has since verified those allegations about Lloyd as being false.
Police were attentive to a FEG Hungarian rifle in a gym bag recovered from the Hernandez home during this first day of questioning. Hernandez’s palm print is on that rifle. But the weapon was not used in the killing of Odin Lloyd. As previously reported on LALATE, the murder weapon has not been recovered. But a magazine fitting the murder weapon’s make and model was recovered from the Hernandez Hummer SUV parked outside his rented condo. Police recovered at least one .45 caliber shell casing in the case.
