Gold Cup 2013 schedule of games is definitely favorable for USA and Mexico. As first reported on LALATE, both are slotted into the brackets with great positions. Neither team will face each other until the finals, if they both win their next two games. To advance to the finals, Mexico would have to win today’s game and then defeat possibly Panama, the projected winner of the Panama vs. Cuba game. USA, if they win Sunday, would have to beat the winner of the Honduras vs. Costa Rica match.
The quarterfinals games are played Saturday in the Georgia Dome, officials remind news. But the Sunday quarterfinals matches are in the M&T Bank Stadium. Semifinals matches are both played on July 24 from Cowboys Stadium while the finals are played July 28 in Soldier Field.
Group A advanced two teams to the quaterfinals, Panama and Mexico, with seven and six points. Group B advanced three, however: Honduras, Trinidad and El Salvador. And Group C qualified three: USA, Costa Rica and Cuba. USA qualified with the highest score of any team out of the group stage, earning nine points from three wins in three games.
