LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Odin Lloyd was found dead near Aaron Hernandez’s home. Odin Lloyd (photo above) has died, his death triggering a homicide investigation this week. Aaron Hernandez is not a suspect. No cause of death for Odin Lloyd has yet to be released to news.
Who is Odin Lloyd? Odin was a “a semi-pro football player who was a linebacker for the Boston Bandits”, claims Peter Wilson. “Coach of Boston Bandits tells WBZ that Lloyd was at the team’s practice Saturday night”. No Facebook, Twitter or Myspace account for Odin Lloyd has yet to be identified to news. But moments ago, the first photo of Lloyd was released on Twitter by local news.
Until Wilson’s report, Lloyd was identified simply as a 27-year-old man or “jogger”. A witness who found Lloyd’s body is now speaking to CBS. He says that “I saw an African-American male, probably 25-35 years old, decently dressed.” He adds “He was stiff motionless, one of the police officers came back later and said it looked the guy had been shot somewhere else and dumped here.”
Patriots spokesman Stacey James has refused comment about the matter. Hernandez has declined news comment as well. “I am aware of the reports, but I do not anticipate that we will be commenting publicly during an ongoing police investigation,” James said on Tuesday.
As previously reported on LALATE, Hernandez has been questioned by police at least once. Hernandez is not a suspect in the case. But police cars were parked outside his house most of Tuesday. Hernandez is being represented by the Athletes First agency. The agency said that it had no comment “on the Aaron Hernandez situation.” Wilson just tweeted claims that “Aaron Hernandez … is not cooperating” with police allegedly.
