LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Ford Claycomo, Missouri Plant explosion erupted today. And a fire has followed. Officials at the Claycomo, Mo. Ford Plan facility have yet to indicate any injuries from the explosion today June 15, 2013.
Just after 3:15 pm EST today, officials began reporting news of a fire at the Ford Claycomo Plant. 41 Action News quickly began tweeting about the same. “Explosion, fire reported at Ford Claycomo plant”, they first reported. Moments ago they indicate that the explosion has now progressed into a fire on the plant. “Update: Emergency crews respond to fire at Ford Claycomo plant”, they wrote.
Officials have yet to indicate the location of the fire of the plant, the cause, and extent of the blaze. No details about persons on the plant’s property have yet to be released to news. But Claycomo Sheriff officials tell news that they multiple agencies have responded to the facility. Kansas City Fire Department and Claycomo Fire Department are currently on scene and are expected to brief news momentarily.
In May, an ExxonMobil Torrance, CA plant power outage resulted in an massive fire. Insiders initially reported “Methane gas burn, reported to be irritant but not toxic, from Mobil Refinery in Torrance. Employees evacuated. Steer clear of area”.
