LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – Kim Zolciak is being accused of being more NYC than RHOA, at least when it comes to her contracts with Bravo. Kim Zolciak is being accused in new court documents obtained exclusively by LALATE of signing a Bravo contract to be a housewife in Atlanta, and then using that contract as a reason to dismiss Kandi Burruss’ lawsuit.
Kim Zolciak asserts that her Bravo RHOA contract allegedly prevents Atlanta cast members from suing each other for certain issues. She uses Georgia law to assert her argument in defense of Burruss’ music suit.
But Kandi Burruss in new court documents says there is one problem with Kim’s geography. Kim’s contract is more RHOA than RHONY, allegedly. The RHOA tv agreement was signed in New York with Bravo and allegedly details that disputes about the contract are under New York law, not Georgia law.
Kandi’s lawyer, Phaedra Parks, says that Kim can’t keep her housewife geography straight. “Finally, while Defendant Zolciak-Biermann cites a number of Georgia cases and statutes to interpret the relevant contract language [of her Bravo RHOA agreement], a simple reading of paragraph 19 (a) of the Standard Terms and Conditions provided in Appendix ‘I” of Defendant Zolciak-Biermann’s Talent Agreement makes it clear that New York law governs the construction and interpretation of the agreement [to appear on Real Housewives of Atlanta]. As such, the legal authority provided by Defendant Zolciak-Biermann is of no value.”
