St Louis, Missouri Tornado 2013 Warning Today Grows, Approaching From Bellflower

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A St Louis, Missouri tornado 2013 warning today is growing. A tornado tonight May 31, 20113 was spotted moments ago west of St Louis in Bellflower, having previously passed near Montgomery City, MO.

In a statement just before 8 pm EST tonight, AccuWeather confirms that the tornado is not in St Louis County but west of the county. “A tornado was spotted west of St. Louis, MO. Seek shelter now.” It also tell news “A tornado is located 5 miles northeast of Montgomery City, MO.”

But the tornado is moving quite fast, the Weather Channel tells news. “6:41pm CDT: Confirmed tornado near Bellflower, MO (same storm that hit Montgomery City earlier)”. Johnny Kelly is confirming that the system is two miles west of Bellflower currently but is moving at forty miles per hour. The system is ramping up, however. When it passed five miles northeast of Montgomery City tonight , it was moving at only 30 mph, officials tell news.

Derick Fabert of WCIA-TV says of the system “Tornado confirmed west of St. Louis. This is the area we’re watching for our activity later tonight.” Steve Grzanich is reporting that a tornado warning has been issued for Lincoln, Montgomery, Warren Counties as of moments ago.For continuing coverage of tornado activity today, click HERE.
