USGS indicates to news that a 4.6 magnitude Philippines earthquake today has just struck off the east of coast of the country. The quake however had a moderate depth as well, USGS reports to news, beginning at roughly forty-eight miles below sea level. As a result, the quake could be felt only around the immediate vicinity.
Officials tell news that the Philippines earthquake today started seventeen miles east of Cagwait. The quake was twenty-three miles east of Tandag and forty miles east of Lianga. USGS also tell news that the quake was forty-six miles north of Tagbina and roughly five hundred miles southeast of Manila. The quake was one of several to strike from the same epicenter today.
In related news, Chile continues to be struck by earthquake today. The latest erupted at 6:41 am local time today and was only six miles below ground level. The quake started fifty-six miles east of Diego de Almagro and ninety-eight miles southeast of Taital. Officials tell news that the quake was roughly two hundred miles from Tinogasta, Argentina as well.
