LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Officials in Watertown, MA confirm Suspect 2 remains on the loose. Suspect 2, aka the White Hat bomber from the Boston Marathon, remains on the loose currently. A massive manhunt remains underway for Suspect 2. And Watertown today April 19, 2013 is on complete lockdown.
Suspect 2 escaped last night after a massive violent change of events. In news briefing today, officials said that the Watertown, MA explosion and shooting was carried out by Suspect 1. Initially, police scanners last night said “suspect 2 in custody”. It is now clear that suspect 1 was taken into custody last night, not suspect 2. He later died at Beth Israel.
Massive police presence continues in Watertown, MA. Local transit has been cancelled. Suspect 2, for which a massive manhunt is still underway for, is said to be covered with explosives. There was talk that Suspect 1 was covered in explosives when he was taken in last night. Doctors confirmed that Suspect 1 died of multiple causes included explosive reactions to bomb making materials.
Harvard University has announced that it - like MIT and Emerson College – will be closed today. Police have ordered all businesses in the Watertown area closed today. “All public transport through the MBTA has been suspended, the system has been shut down as a safety measure”, says police. Residents west of Boston are been instructed to stay home today.
