ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Kim Williams has been charged with murder. Kim Williams aka Kim Lene Williams (case photos below) is the wife of Eric Lyle Williams who was charged last weekend with a different count.
Kim Williams has been charged this morning with capital murder concerning the shootings of Kaufman County District Attorney, his wife and a local prosecutor. Eric Williams was arrested last weekend and given a different charge. But local news reports that prosecutors allegedly seek to charge Eric Williams with capital murder as well.
The case concerns the death of three local individuals. First Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse, 57, was murdered on January 31. Then Mike McLelland, 63, and wife Cynthia, 63, were murdered on March 30, 2013.
The case began to unfold last weekend. Eric Williams was arrested for an alleged message sent from his family’s home computer to authorities. Police assert that Williams sent a threatening email after the March 30 killing. Thereafter, a search warrant sent investigators to a Seagoville storage locker. In the locker belonging to Mr. Williams, police found twenty firearms.
As previously reported on LALATE, Mr. Williams was the former justice of the peace. But in 2012 he was prosecuted by both Hasse and McLelland on theft charges. In March he was given a guilty conviction by a local jury. He was ordered to surrender his law license and ousted from his job. Williams had filed an appeal just days before the two murders.
