Donaire vs. Rigondeaux Winner Tonight Guillermo Rigondeaux Delivers Boxing Fight Results

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Donaire vs. Rigondeaux winner tonight Guillermo Rigondeaux dominated boxing fight results. Guillermo Rigondeaux won the Donaire vs. Rigondeaux boxing fight tonight April 13, 2013. Nonito Donaire came into Saturday’s fight with an strong run since his 2007 Vic Darchinyan fight. With a 31-1 record, twenty wins by way of knockout, Donaire took on Rigondeaux for only Rigondeaux’s twelfth fight. Guillermo Rigondeaux before tonight was undefeated in all previous eleven fights, with eight wins by way of knockout.

Prior to tonight, Rigondeaux told news “I don’t talk much. I don’t say a lot of things. I’m ready, I’m prepared. I will become a world champion once again and unify my title.” But Donaire replied back “We don’t doubt Rigondeaux’s skills. “We respect his skills.” He added “I guaranteed you coming into the fight you’ll see the best of Nonito Donaire.”

News reports claimed that Rigondeaux, even with only eleven previous fights, picked up an impressive $750,000 purse for the fight. Donaire’s purse is $1.32 million, officials with the New York State Athletic Commission told news. Donaire, moreover, returned to HBO tonight for his sixth fight on the network and his fifth as a headliner.

But tonight’s HBO Donaire vs. Rigondeaux had one similarity to Manny Pacquiao’s HBO fights. Like several of Pacquiao’s HBO battles, including his December 2012 fight against Marquez, tonight’s HBO fight had to battle a UFC broadcast airing the same night.

In November 2011, broadcasters told news that the conflict displeased some sports fans. By 2012, UFC’s broadcasters and HBO tried to resolve any conflicts by moving up UFC earlier in night. UFC told news at the time “If you are a huge fight fan, this is a huge fight weekend. You can watch the UFC live and free on FOX, and right after that, is the Manny Pacquiao pay-per-view.” UFC added “There will be about an hour gap. When the UFC on FOX ends, there will be about an hour gap, and then the Manny Pacquiao main event will start. So it’s a great fight weekend. If you’re into it, you can watch both fights.”

Tonight’s fight when to the cards. The judges gave the fight to Guillermo Rigondeaux with final cards at 114-113, 115-112, 116-111.
