LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – GG Golnesa Gharachedaghi from Shahs of Sunset, Tamra Barney from Real Housewives of Orange, Marysol Patton from Real Housewives of Miami, and Kristen Doute of Vanderpump Rules reveal exclusively to LALATE their spring break health and fitness tips. Whether it’s a high protein diet or a complete vegan meal, hiking with their dog or hitting the gym with their friends, these Bravo stars have dramatically different approaches to staying beautiful. This month, all four stars took time out of their schedule to chat exclusively with LALATE about staying fit and eating right this Spring Break season.
On Bravo’s breakout hit series Shahs of Sunset, GG has impressed news with her ability to stay beautiful despite a busy schedule. That schedule involves running her new successful business GG’s Extensions. GG tells LALATE that she focuses on eating right, all day long. “To stay in shape I believe in eating in a healthy way. Which means eating between 5-8 meals per day but small portions. The less amount of times you eat in a day causes your metabolism to slow down and making you gain weight.” GG also tells LALATE “I think people should be able to eat whatever type of food they want as long as it’s in moderation.”
But her favorites are vegetables. “I’m greatly obsessed with vegetables, so having a large salad at one point of the day is imperative for me. As for physical exercise, I go hiking 3-4 times a week with my dog. It allows me to get my heart pumping as well as being outdoors and enjoying nature.” GG also adds “Being in nature is one of my favorite things and brings me happiness which causes me to be more motivated to stay healthy. I believe that a healthy body is a healthy mind, but also that a healthy mind allows for a healthy body. My spring vacation plans usually consist of going to Cannes for the film festival and enjoying the beach. I love to swim, so any destination that consists of beautiful clear water will have me visiting.”
On RHOC this season, Tamra Barney will unveil her new fitness studio. So how does Tamra get in shape and still look so beautiful? “It is always a work in progress. I have always been consistent with my work outs, however as I have gotten older I have changed my workouts to include more weight training.” Tamra tells LALATE also that “women over 40 lose muscle mass and bone density, I have found strength training has helped me re-build muscle tissue. When you exercise your muscles, not only will you burn calories during the exercise period, you will also burn an even greater number of calories for hours afterward as your muscles re-build and recuperate. I am obsessed with Les Mills classes especially BODYPUMP. It is one of the most popular classes at my studio cutfitoc.com.”
Tamra also has modified her eating habits. “I also changed my diet about a year in a half ago and it really made a big difference in the way I look today. My weight has only changed by a few pounds but I lost body fat and gained muscle tone. I can also see a difference in my skin. I have been working with a nutritionist name Cara Clark caraclarknutrition.com and she has taught me eat properly paired foods every few hours, it keeps me full and stops my body from eating muscle for fuel. It truly is a lot of hard work and dedication on my part.” Tamra will head to a fitness convention in the coming weeks as well. But she adds “The closest thing to a spring break vacation will be going to Las Vegas for the Fitness convention at the end of this month, maybe I can get some pool time with my kids at the Ventian Hotel if I am lucky.”
In January, Marysol Patton impressed fans with her amazing bikini pictures from Turks and Caicos. But Marysol of The Patton Group tells LALATE her secret is avoiding dairy. “I really don’t do anything extraordinary, I try to avoid dairy and stick to eating a high protein diet.”
Kristen Doute of Vanderpump Rules has new films “23 Minutes To Sunrise” and “Blood on Canvas” coming out this year. But her secret to looking great is a vegetarian lifestyle. Kristen tells LALATE “I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 11 years old. I eat healthy, love to cook vegetarian meals at home and don’t really have a sweet tooth. I like going to the gym with my girl friends because we motivate each other.”
