LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – The Real Housewives of Orange County will get a 100th Episode Special. While some may argue that at least 101 RHOC episodes have already aired, Bravo reportedly is numbering them differently in anticipation for a major TV special this spring.
Moments ago, Real Housewives of Orange County original cast member Vicki Gunvalson told news about the preparations underway. “[I] stayed home from work today so [my daughter] Briana could film the 100th episode 2 hour special and I got to watch Troy!”
But haven’t 101 episodes already have aired? Debuting in March 21, 2006, RHOC has featured reunion telecasts every year since season one. In season five, the reunion moved to a two part format. It has remained that way ever since.
LALATE can report that, if you include, reunion telecasts since season, RHOC has already aired 101 episodes to date. But if you exclude reunions, you only get ninety-one episodes.
So when would the RHOC special aired? Based upon last season, LALATE would predict the special to air mid-season 2013. Last season, Bravo ordered twenty-three episodes. With that benchmark, nine more episodes (91+9) would fall roughly mid-season. Tamra Barney days ago told LALATE that principal photography for the season has already been shot but that interview segments were still being filmed.
