But on Sunday morning, instead of reporting the news, Rob Morrison became the headline news story. He was charged with alleged strangulation, threatening and disorderly conduct of his wife Ashley. He was given a $100,000 bound and a court hearing for Tuesday.

Police responded to the couple’s home in Darien after Ms. Morrison’s mother called police. They found Ashley with alleged injuries. And they found Morrison with the swollen lip and a purportedly bloody nose.

Yet the couple are sticking together. They even issued a news statement together denouncing the police. “The Morrisons are confident that a full review of this matter will show that the allegations have been greatly exaggerated,” attorney Robert Skovgaard said in a news statement this week.

The couple’s employers have refused comment on the matter. Rob Morrison had no explanation for news above the above injuries on his face. Ironically, his previous on-air roles have included being a combat correspondent. Ms. Morrison has yet to speak about the incident.
