LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Mexico earthquake today 2013 has erupted in Baja California. The Mexico earthquake today Wednesday, February 13, 2013 struck in the predawn morning hours. It followed yet another Nevada earthquake today as well, USGS indicates to news.
First, officials tell news that yet another in a series of Nevada earthquakes erupted this morning. The latest quake was 4.0 magnitude and erupted only three miles below the earth’s surface. USGS tells news that the quake began shortly before 2 am local time today. The latest Nevada earthquake is an aftershock of a 5.1 magnitude quake that struck the same epicenter earlier this week. On Tuesday LALATE detailed a moderate aftershock the struck the same vicinity as well.
Second, a 3.2 magnitude quake has hit Mexico this morning. The quake erupted at 2:35 AM PST officials tell news. The quake, however, also had a nominal depth, beginning only nine miles below the earth’s surface.
USGS indicates to news that today’s Mexico terremoto was centered in Baja California. The temblor en Mexico today was thirteen miles southwest of Guadalupe Victoria and thirty-six miles southwest of San Luis Río Colorado in Sonora, officials tell news. The quake also erupted closer to Mexicali and only roughly one hundred miles east of Tijuana. No reports of damage have yet to be indicated by local news.
