LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – When Arsenal vs. West Ham United 2013 (live score below) kicks off today, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be seeking to get his team into the top five. Since December, however, the difference between the top five teams in the Barclays Premier League has narrowed. A month ago, there was a thirteen point spread between the top two teams. Now there is a fifteen point spread between the top four teams.
Wednesday’s Arsenal vs. West Ham United 2013 game (start time 11:45 am PST) is critical for not just Arsenal but also Everton. Prior to today, Everton has been holding onto a fifth place ranking with thirty-eight points. But Arsenal is slotted at sixth position just four points behind Everton. The team has delivered nine wins, seven draws and six losses this season, officials remind news.
A month ago, there was a thirteen point spread between first place Man United and second place Man City. That spread is now five points. Chelsea is back six more points in third, and Tottenham Hotspur is backing four more in forth place, news analysts note.
West Ham, however, has continued to struggle this season. The team’s twenty-seven points have come from seven wins, six draws and nine losses.
Wegner tells his team’s new site this week that he is bothered by his players’ lackluster showing recently. “What is worrying is just that we do not win the big games. The position we are in now is a bit backs to the wall.” He added “We have to respond. I’m confident that we will but the team was very down after the Chelsea game.”
He also tells news “It’s a very important game for us. We have to transform the potential we have shown in the (last) two games into points and it is a good opportunity to do it.”
In Arsenal’s last two matches in the Premier, the team has given up two goals to Chelsea and two goals to Man City in consecutive losses. Can they change that today? For live score results today, click HERE.
