LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Ivory Coast vs. Togo 2013 (live score below) battle in the Africa Cup of Nations Tuesday. Group D action in the African Nations Cup finally starts their first two of six games today. But Cup results have been surprising news analysts this week, with all the teams in Group A and C currently tied.
Today’s Ivory Coast vs. Togo 2013 game (start time 7 am) will feature Togo competing in their first recent Africa Cup game. Togo did not compete last year. Ivory Coast reached the finals in the Cup last year, only to loose to Zambia on penalty kicks. In the African Nations Cup 2012, Ivory Coast went undefeated during the group stage. Then it defeated Equatorial Guinea and Mali in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
Ivory Coast last year shocked news by never giving up a goal to any competitor throughout the entire group and knockout phases. In fact, in six games, the team gave up no shots and scored nine goals.
Also throughout the year, the team impressed news with two World Cup qualifiers and three International Friendly matches. They won one Friendly match and delivered two draws. And they delivered one qualifier win and one draw as well. In fact, since last year’s African Cup, Ivory Coast in four games has scored eight goals.
Togo, however, had a relatively silent 2012 year. Togo only competed in two major matches, both World Cup qualifiers. They eventually lost one game and earned a draw in the other. For live results today, click HERE.
