LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Kathy Griffin failed in the ratings for her 2013 season debut of “Kathy” (Bravo). Last season, Griffin’s talk show delivered some of Bravo’s worse ratings of the year. Last Thursday, the situation was even worse for Bravo. Nielsen reveals to news that Kathy loss nearly forty percent year to date, drawing only 0.616 million viewers for her 2013 debut. Even more troubling, Griffin did not hold her lead-in from Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker season debut.
The return of the Matchmaker season posted strong numbers for Bravo, delivering a 1.4 rating share for the evening. Matchmaker finished the evening sixth overall in 18-49 demographic, and eighth overall. Griffin, however, was nineteenth overall.
In fact, Griffin’s debut posted numbers even lower than reruns of other Bravo shows throughout the week. On Tuesday night, a rerun of the Monday telecast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills posted an impressive 0.84 ratings share for Bravo. A Tuesday rerun of the Sunday telecast of RHOA also posted numbers higher than Griffin.
Bravo has yet to confirm to news if Griffin’s show will be brought back for another season.
