American Idol 2013 Spoilers: Top 40 Results Prompt Faster Semifinals
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – American Idol 2013 spoilers tonight are revealing your Top 40 results for Season 12, along with dramatic production changes. American Idol 2013 spoilers have already delineated which male and female singers make the Top 40 List this season. But the means in which the contestants get eliminated is surprising fans tonight.
First, spoilers are claiming Idol will get to the semifinals faster than in previous seasons. After years of fans anguishing over slow eliminations, Fox executives allegedly decided to slice the competition faster this season. As a result, the semifinals will be reached far earlier in the season 12 telecast.

Second, earlier episodes will focus more on the judges this season. Fox reality head Mike Darnell recently told news the reason for the change. “It is a lively, entertaining, passionate, argumentative, incredible panel. … They’re more active than the judges were last year.” He also told news that “There’s more arguments, more disagreements, just a lot more debate. Nicki and Mariah certainly have had their moments, but all of the judges have had their moments. Keith’s had his moments with both girls, and even Randy, who has been there 11 years, got caught up in it.”
Third, viewers for the first time will get voting ranks revealed to them during the telecast. Nigel Lythgoe recently told news that viewers have been asking for the modification for years. “Now it looks like we’re going to be copying them.” Nigel tells USA Today “I thought it was a good move from when we first came here. … We’ll still discuss it. I’m not sure how we’ll do it.”
