LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – When Dog the Bounty Hunter returns to CMT as “Dog”, certain familiar faces will be returning, while others won’t be making appearances as full cast members. Last fall, “Dog”, the new Dog the Bounty Hunter reality show for CMT, was first announced to news. But when details of the show were unveiled again to fans this week, many wondered which former cast members will be returning.
Beth Chapman previously resolved the confusion for fans. “For the record, new show on CMT ‘Dog’ [will feature] Beth, Leland, Sonnny and Kaleo.” But Beth also shared news that certain faces won’t be appearing. “No Duane Lee, no Baby Lyssa, no Tim, no Bobby. All new coming this spring.” It remains unclear if that could change with a possible second season for CMT.
Baby Lyssa has yet to address her absence from the show. But she re-tweeted Beth’s news statement to her followers at the time. The Chapmans have yet to explain why some familiar members will be reunited on camera, and others. But perhaps those explanations will be saved for the series premiere.
As previously detailed on LALATE, the new CMT series won’t follow the same format as the previous show. Lyssa recently tweeted “Sometimes you hurt people in life. This is not easy to accept. Make amends with you past. Forgive yourself, and never make the same mistake again.”
