ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Judy Ogle and Dolly Parton rumors were denied by the singer last night. Dolly Parton, married to Carl Thomas Dean, has battled Judy Ogle (photos below) rumors her whole life. She says she doesn’t care and says the rumors are false.

Dolly Parton says she and Judy Ogle have grown to accept the false rumors over the year. In 2009, Parton denied the rumors in AARP magazine. As reported on LALATE three years ago, Parton met Ogle as a child, and Dean she met outside a Laundromat in Nashville in 1964. Parton and Dean have been married over four decades.

Parton says the rumors are false but don’t bother her. “We’re absolutely, totally honest, open, and comfortable with each other. We’ve been accused of being lovers. We do love each other, but we’ve never been like that.”

Appearing on Nightline last night, Parton was asked about the same rumors. Even though she had denied them for decades, ABC still revisited the subject. “Judy and I have been best friends since we were like in the third and fourth grade”. Dolly says it’s the same false rumors striking Oprah. “Like Gayle, her friend, Judy, my friend … (people) just think that you just can’t be that close to somebody.”

Pardon remains one of America’s most beloved celebrities. This holiday season she is promoting her book Dream More: Celebrate the Dreamer in You. As she told AARP in 2009, Judy and Dean knew she would become a star before she knew it. “They knew me before I became a star. They still see me as me.”
