LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Walmart riot video depicted Black Friday violence, again. Walmart Black Friday shootings, pepper spray, and deaths were depicted in videos from Black Friday 2011. This year, the fighting between shoppers returned, without any fatalities.
In 2011, Walmart riot video showed a shopper pepper spraying another costumer. A woman was allegedly fearful that the ten people in front of her would get the discounted Xbox 360 , and not her. So she allegedly pepper sprayed them. Ten people were injured. That same year, a police officer in Kinston, North Carolina used pepper spray on Walmart customers.
Today the alleged violence was back. A video, uploaded to WorldStarHipHop, showed violence over a Smartphone. Ozarksfirst reports the video was shot at Walmart. “In a Moultrie, Georgia Walmart, frantic shoppers were caught on camera (see below) pushing and shoving to get their hands on smart phones.”
Walmart reportedly processed ten million registered transitions per second this Black Friday holiday season, claims news reports today. “The early read is Wal-Mart’s been one of the clear winners,” said R. J. Hottovy, a senior retail analyst at Morningstar to NBC. “The combination of expanded hours, aggressive pricing and guaranteed availability of some doorbuster deals are likely to pay off for the nation’s largest retailer.”
