LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Maia Campbell is joining Iyanla, Fix My Fallen Star. Maia Campbell is best known as Tiffany Warren of “In the House”. In 2009, battled Maia Campbell video tape scandal allegations. Yesterday, Maia told news that she will be joining the episode airing November 17.
The episode entitled “Fix My Fallen Star” features host Iyanla Vanzant. In its first season, the OWN reality show has drawn praise. OWN says the show’s host is “fixing lives and using her past to help others’ futures. Secrets will be revealed, truths will be uncovered and emotions will come out as Iyanla teaches us how to pull back the curtain on what is broken in our lives.”
OWN confirms to news that the scandal tape covered on LALATE in 2009 will be the subject of the episode. “Through the years, Maia has struggled with addiction and was publicly humiliated when shocking videos of her hit the internet”, says OWN. The videos remain on YouTube currently. One video depicts a woman seated in the passenger seat of a car eating Lays chips wearing hoop purple earrings. While reports claimed Maia was that individual, the TV actress has yet to confirm the same.
One year after the initial videos surface online, another video was posted to YouTube. Campbell’s most memorable role was as Tiffany Warren in 72 episodes of IN THE HOUSE from 1995 to 1999. She also made appearances in Sister, Sister, Moesha, and Beverly Hills 90210. Campbell’s mother was Bebe Moore Campbell, who addressed mental health in her 2003 book – “Sometimes My Mommy Gets Angry”. “Sometimes” went on to win the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) Outstanding Literature Award that year.
