LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Hank The Cat election results reveal the Senate candidate got the purrfect message out to voters. Hank the Cat’s campaign thanked supporters today but reported that some precincts are still counting ballots. He ran on Tuesday for Virginia’s senate seat against George Allen (R) and Tim Kaine (D).
King5 news claims that Hank received more than six thousand votes. But Hank reports that some numbers are still be counting. Hank “says” that “the numbers are still coming in from
absentee ballots and other confirmations – each of the 134 precincts has until next Tuesday to make their numbers official.” He added “We have been working with the Arlington Board to verify that the extra 21,500 votes that were marked as write ins was indeed an error, and they are correcting it now (so we can confirm that we didn’t get 45% of the absentee ballot votes in Arlington County – the real totals should be coming soon).”
In a news statement Tuesday, Hank noted that “With your incredible generosity and constant support, we have literally saved hundreds of lives – we have given countless critters another chance, innumerable families have added a new member to their clan, and many of us had our faith restored in the potential for positive change in our political system that overflows with negativity and greed.”
He added “As a citizen of Virginia, I feel it is now my duty to redouble my efforts to make sure Senator-elect Kaine is willing to sign my Animal Rescue Pledge, and I hope you will join me in making sure animals aren’t ignored or forgotten.”
