Todd Tucker, Kandi Burruss Boyfriend 2012, Joins RHOA
ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Todd Tucker, Kandi Burruss’ boyfriend, was first revealed on LALATE over a year ago. But tonight, Todd Tucker is first revealed on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. But what does Todd Tucker do for a living?
In October 2011, LALATE broke news that Nene Leakes was dating John Kolaj of Famous Famiglia Pizza. Kolaj reportedly met NeNe after she decided to open a franchise. Then by December, news broke that Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker had started dating. Burruss would not confirm the news at the time.
Tucker had just been brought on by Bravo for the shooting in Africa. Within a short time, the two began dating. Initial news reports listed Tucker as a camera man with RHOA that season. But Kandi now explains that he was a line producer for RHOA last season.
It remains unclear how news of Tucker leaked last winter. Kandi now admits that the only other cast member that purportedly knew about the relationship at the time was Phaedra.
Finally, in April 2012, Kandi confirmed the news to Andy Cohen during the reunion telecast. She told Cohen during the RHOA Reunion Part 1 that, after dating for a short period of time, the two fell dramatically in love.
Cohen asked Kandi “are you in love”. She blushed and said “yes”. Cohen then asked about the couple’s living arrangement. “Do you live together?” Kandi replied “we are about to. We have our own places, but we are about to move into a new place together.”
On tonight’s premiere, Kandi reveals that Todd works in production. But she doesn’t mention on RHOA that he was working in production on RHOA when the two fell in love.

Kandi’s previous relationship with AJ Jewell was detailed during the 2009 season. Jewell was killed outside “Body Tap”, an Atlanta business, in fall of that year. Ashley Jewell was Kandi’s boyfriend until the engaged couple split in roughly August of 2009. Jewell and another man had a business dispute in the parking lot of Body Tap that escalated into a fatal attack.
