Cam Newton Press Conference, Colin Cowherd Comments Prompt Debate

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Cam Newton’s press conference and Colin Cowherd’s comments about Newton today are prompting debate. Colin Cowherd (ESPN) told news Monday that “the guy who drafted Cam Newton, just axed in Carolina. Tells you what the organization thinks of Cam”.

Cowherd’s comments prompted negative reaction by Newton fans today. Listeners have been tweeting back to Colin their frustration with his comments. “Completely inaccurate”, “so wrong”, “you serious”, and “Cam not the problem”. Another simply wrote “Colin Cowherd labels Cam Newton a bust…he did much the same the year Rodgers won the MVP. Good job; good effort.”

Others, however, were debating Newton’s press conference remarks following his lost Sunday. “The past couple of games have been the same script, by the same director. It’s kind of getting boring,” Cam said Sunday.

Newton tells news that change has to come to his team fast. “This taste, this vibe — I’m not buying it, man. And I don’t know what it is, but something’s going to have to change.” He added “Something’s going to have to change real fast.”

“It feels like we’ve been finding a way to lose the game rather than win it, offensively, defensively, on special teams,” Newton also told news. “But everybody has to do better, including myself. Just take accountability.” The video can be seen HERE.
