ST LOUIS (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – Seth Mazzaglia’s Facebook account and modeling and acting websites prompt bizarre details Saturday. Seth Mazzaglia, 29, of Dover (photos below) was arrested in Elizabeth “Lizzi” Marriott murder case. Police list him as “Seth J. Mazzaglia” but on Facebook he refers to himself as “Seth Lex Mazzaglia”. Seth Mazzaglia has been charged with second degree murder of Marriott.
But police have yet to indicate when Marriott was killed. Marriott disappeared on Tuesday. On Saturday, police confirmed HER death. But on Thursday, Seth Mazzaglia was still adding friends on his Facebook account. Police confirmed in a news briefing that they had taken Seth Mazzaglia into custody. But on Facebook, Mazzaglia had no activity since September 1 unlike last Thursday when he added five new friends, LALATE can report.
Marriott’s family confirms to news that police are looking at Marriott’s digital trail before her disappearance. Police would not indicate what specific evidence that they are tracking. But they confirm that Marriott and Mazzaglia knew each other.
The link could be, however, be unrelated to online activity. Mazzaglia reportedly used to live in the same apartment building where Marriott might have visited Tuesday night. The same building is listed as his address on his acting website. Online, Marriot also had a “modeling” website in which he talked about his aspirations.
As reported earlier on LALATE, Mazzaglia was a struggling actor. He appeared in Garrison Players Arts Center in Rollinsford, N.H. He also claimed to have fight experience and background with weapons. His favorite TV shows included Dexter and his favorite movies included Sweeney Todd.
UNH President Mark W. Huddleston issued a news statement Saturday about the arrest. “We were greatly saddened to learn of Lizzi’s death and we extend our deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Lizzi was a new member of the university community and will be missed in our classrooms. Our focus now will be on supporting our campus community during this difficult time.”
Marriott’s family also issued a news statement today calling this “This is the worst parent’s nightmare, a missing child and with an unfavorable outcome. Please pray for the dedicated rescue professionals who continue to look for Lizzi. We need them to find her and bring her home.”
