Giants vs. Panthers Channel 2012: Eli Manning Battles Cam Newton Tonight

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Tonight’s Giants vs. Panthers 2012 game will deliver an impressive battle between Eli Manning and Cam Newton. Both teams come into Thursday night’s NFL game with a split record in their first two starts. But what channel is tonight’s Giants vs. Panthers 2012 game on?
Thursday night channel surfing confusion returns this evening. But as officials reminded news this week, the NFL Channel will carry all the Thursday night NFL games this season. This week is no difference.
Tonight’s Giants vs. Panthers 2012 game will air on the NFL Channel with a start time of 8:20 PM EST. Hence the game can been seen on DirecTV channel 212 and on Dish Network channel 154. For Canadian viewers, it will air on Shaw Direct and Bell TV.
Coming into tonight’s broadcast, the defense, offense, and passing numbers between the Giants and Panthers are relatively close. But after Manning struggled last week to pick up his first win of the season, can he get an early lead tonight (live score below)?
As Cam Newton fans remember from the quarterback’s final college season, Newton is most impressive in his fourth quarters. Cam Newton in college often trailed at halftime but delivered monstrous third and fourth quarters, exploding on both rushing and passing.
Manning has that ability as well. Last week, Eli delivered a win after a horrible first half against Tampa Bay.
Before tonight’s game, Manning has delivered four passing touchdowns and three interceptions. Newton, in contrast, has delivered two passing touchdowns and two interceptions.
But the difference is on rushing. While Andre Brown leads the Giants on rushing with one touchdown, Newton delivers the threat for Carolina, producing one touchdown and seventy-five yards already in two games.
This season, the teams have both given up an average of twenty plus points per game. But could that happen tonight? The Giants last week made news by coming from behind after a dreadful first half. At halftime, the Giants were down nine points. Their only touchdown in the first was a twenty-three yard pass from Manning to Hakeem Nick in the second.
But in the fourth, Manning proved why he is a winner. He delivered three touchdown passes in the final quarter against Tampa Bay. He connected to Victor Cruz in a news-making eighty-yard touchdown pass. Then he connected to Martellus Bennett for a thirty-three yard touchdown pass. And finally, he handed off to Andre Brown for a two yard touchdown run.
Cam Newton comes off a twelve-point win last week against the Saints. In that game, he completed fourteen of twenty attempts passing, delivering two hundred fifty-three yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. He also led the Panthers on rushing, delivering seventy-one yards, and one touchdown. But can he do it tonight? For live score updates, click HERE.
