Shakira Pregnant, Gerard Pique Anxious for Baby Birth
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Shakira and Gerard Pique are having a baby. Shakira is pregnant with Gerard Pique’s child, the hit singer tells news today. A year ago, the couple’s romance was just starting to dominate news.
In spring 2011, the two appeared in pictures released by Gerard Pique on his Facebook account from his 24th birthday. Then, they both appeared alongside one another for Shakira’s 34th birthday.
In February Barcelona news reported that the couple were spotted strolling their Spanish streets and showing serious signs of affection. Finally in March, Caras Magazine Colombia published the first ever pictures of then confirmed couple kissing. Colombia Reports claimed the first pictures might have fetched as much as $100,000 – $137,000. Finally, in June the couple were spotting vacationing in Greek Islands.
But today, Shakira confirmed news that the couple are expecting a child. She was first rumored to be pregnant back in July. In a news statement, she says “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned.”
