LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Sunland Fire 2012 has now erupted, while elsewhere the fire in Rustic Canyon is spreading. The Sunland Fire is the latest blaze that Los Angeles fire fighters are battling Saturday September 15, 2012.
Officials tell news that the Sunland Fire erupted late Saturday afternoon. The fire is situated at 11451 W Foothill Bl. The blaze has spread to two acres. No structures are threatened, no individuals are injured and no evacuations have been ordered.
Elsewhere, the Rustin Canyon Fire 2012 has spread to thirty acres by 4:26 PM. The fire remains active with ten percent containment. The fire remains far from residential structures, officials tell news. But LAFD reports that no evacuations have been ordered, no structure are threatened, and no structures were destroyed. Now labeled the “Rustic Canyon Wildfire Incident” 2012, the blaze erupted shortly after 12:30 pm today and was situated near the 3000 block of Rustic Canyon Avenue.
Meantime, officials tell news that “smokes seen in Los Angeles Harbor/Wilmington area” is not another Los Angeles fire. Rather they tell news that it is “a ‘flaring’ (non-emergency) operation at ConocoPhillips Refinery.”
