Steelers vs Broncos 2012: Peyton Manning Faces Roethlisberger in Primetime Opener

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – When Steelers vs Broncos 2012 take to the field for Sunday’s game, Peyton Manning will face Ben Roethlisberger in a showdown fitting for NFL Sunday’s showdown. For months, critics have been debating how good Peyton Manning will be this season after recuperating from neck procedures. Additionally, the question has remained how will Manning’s line hold the impressive Steelers’ defense. Tonight’s Steelers vs Broncos 2012 game (live score below) will finally give some clarity about Denver.
A lot has changed for Manning and Roethlisberger since 2011. Last year, Ben Roethlisberger married Ashley Harlan (wedding photos below) while still battling a lawsuit from Andrea McNulty. Manning underwent another neck procedure while with the Colts only to not heal properly have to undergo yet another corrective procedure. But tonight, both Peyton and Ben are ready to battle.
Before Sunday’s game, the Steelers narrowly defeated the Panthers. But they did so manly with a passing game. The Steelers, without Ben, delivered one hundred seventy-four yards last week, producing eighteen completions of twenty-four attempts.

Without Manning, the Broncos were lackluster against the Cardinals last week. The Broncos delivered only one touchdown after a one hundred yard kickoff return from Omar Bolden in the first.
Overall, the Broncos’ numbers weren’t impressive against the Cardinals. The team delivered one turnover, and only one hundred forty yards passing, compared to the Cardinals’ two hundred fifty yards. On rushing, Denver delivered only an average of five yards per play, producing one hundred sixty-eight yards total for the game.

And while fans will get a primetime quality game tonight, Peyton Manning thinks Sunday is even bigger than that. Manning tells news that Sunday will deliver a playoff-quality game from the kickoff.
In a news interview this week, Peyton said “I’ve always felt that it’s as close to a playoff atmosphere as you can get in the regular season, and playing a tough team like Pittsburgh, playing on prime time, at night, is certainly going to add to the atmosphere”. We definitely got a playoff quality game from Manning yesterday. I was really impressed with how well he was able to run the no huddle offence with a new team and after a year sitting. He looked like classic Manning and had some really solid long drives down the field. I was talking to a coworker at Dish about Manning, and he was excited that the team is going to be a real contender this year with him at the helm. I was so impressed that I went back and watched a couple of his scoring drives off of a recording that my Hopper automatically made for Primetime Anytime. I was really glad that I got to re-watch it because was great to see how confident and quickly he moved the ball. I think that this could be a big year for us Bronco’s fans.
