US Airways Flight 1267 Diverted Today Following Threat

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – US Airways Flight 1267 has been diverted after an alleged explosive liquid threat was reported. US Airways Flight 1267 to Dallas Fort Worth was diverted back to Philadelphia International following what officials report was a “law enforcement situation”. One individual has been taken into custody.
FBI officials are not yet telling news if the threat was valid or fake. But MyFoxPhilly confirms that bomb investigators searched the plane on the tarmac after its return to Philadelphia International. Bomb sniffing dogs were also sent onto the plane. Local news cameras showed one man taken into custody by investigators.
DWF remains open today. An investigation of the plane remains underway.
FOX reports that local news “showed a person being escorted off the plane”. Philadelphia airport spokeswoman Victoria Lupica would not confirm to news if the person has been charged. She indicates that actions were taken as a “precaution”.
UPDATE: NBC Philadelphia is reporting that a “police source says nothing dangerous found on diverted Philadelphia-to-Dallas flight after search.” A news briefing is expected this morning. The name of the person in custody has yet to be released to news. Ninety-eight passengers were on board today.
