Vivek Shah, The Dark Knight Extra, Arrested For Harvey Weinstein Alleged Threats

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Vivek Shah, an actor / extra , has been arrested for Harvey Weinstein alleged threats. Vivek Shah appeared in The Dark Knight as an unaccredited extra, reports ABC. He also has appeared in a series of other minor television roles. But now he is dominating TV coverage for his arrest.
The FBI arrested the 25 year old today. Officials claim that the actor targeted not just Harvey Weinstein but also his family. The FBI’s complaint claims that Shah demanded four million dollars from Weinstein while threatening to kidnap and kill the producer’s family.
But Weinstein allegedly wasn’t the only focus of Shah. He allegedly targeted other executives including an unidentified owner of an NHL team. Weinstein has yet to comment about the matter. Shah was taken into custody in Schaumburg Thursday.
Vivek Shah’s credits began with a Bin Laden TV documentary in which he played a suicide bomber. He also has played a mad pack criminal in Animal Witness, a drunk friend in “The Strip”, and a cabbie in “The Fuzz”. His last credit was as a trainee in the 2012 series “Bones”.
