A fan moment ago asked star MJ Mercedes Javid “when is Shahs coming back on”. MJ said “soon”. She also told news that the the cast is currently “shooting season 2 now”. The Ryan Seacrest breakout series will return with the original cast of Golnesa Gharachedaghi (GG), Mike Shouhed, Sammy Younai, Asa Soltan Rahmati, Reza Farahan and Javid.

Originally, Shahs was ordered by Bravo for a mini first season of six episodes that ran between March and 2012. Fans are now expecting to get far more episodes for the show’s second season.

Last season, Shah’s ratings numbers were so high that they surpassed several Housewives franchises. But while those Housewives shows featured more than two dozen episodes per season, Shahs was only given six episodes.

Fan reaction for each of the personalities has been heightened in recent weeks. As Rahmati told news today, “Got over 10,000 mentions on one image [today]“. ASA also added “So excited right now. I’m happiest when I’m creating.”

GG tells news “I’ve been having such a great and exciting time filming #shahsofsunset season#2″. She also explained “Can’t wait for u guys to see it.” But GG promises some surprises, adding that fans will see “drama like never before!”
