Trinity Ridge Fire Map 2012 Advance Prompts Featherville, Idaho Evacuations

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Trinity Ridge Fire Map 2012’s swift advance today is prompting immediate evacuation of Featherville and Paradise. Officials on the Trinity Ridge Fire tells news that the Idaho wildfire today August 18, 2012 is growing quickly. The fire which erupted earlier this month is taking a new turn tonight.
Incident Commander Rich Harvey tells news that the fire remains at only five percent containment despite nearly one thousand one hundred personnel on scene. The fire has grown to eighty-two acres. But that could change tonight.
Officials are now advising news that two separate fire fronts are moving swiftly toward Featherville tonight. One fire is three miles from town, the other at four miles.
Gary Lehnhausen, a fire information officer with the Trinity Ridge Fire, tells news that Featherville home are threatened but none have been lost. Pine is also under alert tonight.
Fire spokesman David Eaker tells news that thirteen hundred fifty residences are on mandatory evacuations tonight. At roughly 5:30 pm EST, The Elmore County Sheriff issued news of “an immediate evacuation of the Featherville area from Featherville to the Paradise area because of thick smoke and reduced visibility due to the Trinity Ridge Fire.
