Santa Paula Earthquake Today 2012 Felt in Los Angeles County, Southern California

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A moderate Santa Paula earthquake today 2012 has struck moments ago. The Santa Paula earthquake today August 18, 2012 is one of several striking Los Angees County and Southern California today. The quake could be felt in Ojai, Oxnard, Ventura, and sections of the San Fernando Valley.
The Santa Paula earthquake erupted at 7:45 am PST today, USGS indicates to news. The quake registered a 3.0 magnitude and was followed by a series of aftershocks.

The quake, however, had virtually no depth. USGS indicates to news that the quake struck only eight miles below the earth’s surface. The quake was nestled five miles from Santa Paula.
USGS indicates to news that the quake erupted nine miles east of Ojai and ten miles east of Meiners Oaks. The quake struck north east of Ventura and seventeen miles northeast of Oxnard. USGS indicates also that the quake was fifty-five miles west of downtown LA.
Mapping puts the quake close to Filmore, Moorpark and west of Simi Valley. The quake was also west of Thousand Oaks, northwest of Port Hueneme and close to Camarillo. No reports of damage has yet to be indicated by local news.
In June, a moderate quake struck Westlake Village. The Los Angeles earthquake today struck in the predawn morning hours and was felt in the San Fernando Valley. That quake was centered west of Oak Park, three miles west of Agoura Hills and four miles east of Thousand Oaks.
