Joey Kovar Dead, Cause of Death Pending for Real World Star
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Joey Kovar is dead at age 29; cause of death remains pending. Joey Kovar of reality tv shows “Real World: Hollywood” and “Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew” was found dead today in Chicago Friday.
Kovar battled substance addictions on both of his reality shows. But on Friday, Kovar was found dead inside a Chicago area home. TMZ is reporting the residence belonged to a friend of Kovar. The friend has yet to be identified, nor comment about the news.
Kovar reportedly was found dead this morning. But it remains unclear how long the reality actor had been dead inside the residence. Autopsy results could take weeks. The local coroner has yet to speak to news about the matter.
Joey Kovar battled cocaine and alcohol use when he appeared on 2008’s The Real World: Hollywood. He thereafter battled issues of addiction following the impending birth of his child. He reportedly also tackled issues concerning ecstasy, methamphetamine, and steroids.
