Mill Fire Spreads Outside Butte Meadows

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Mill Fire (fire map below) is spreading outside Butte Meadows today. The news comes as the Buck Fire near Aguanga improved last night along with the Wye Fire aka Walker Fire near Clearlake Oaks.
CAL Fire reported improvement since last night of the major blazes across the state. Among them was the Wye Fire (now including the Walker Fire). Official report the Wye Fire is now seventy-five percent contained. The blaze which erupted on Sunday is now being held at roughly eight thousand areas. The fire, striking Lake and Colusa, sprung along Highway 20 east of Highway 53 and Clearlake Oaks.
In other improved situations, the Buck Fire being battled by Riverside County fire is now forty-percent contained. CAL Fire reports news that the fire in Aguanga is being held currently at less than three thousand acres. The fire which erupted Tuesday spread from Sage Rd between Lewis Valley Rd & Buck Rd.
But one issue of concern today is the Mill Fire. The fire in Tehama County remains only fifteen percent contained today. Officials with CAL FIRE Butte Unit report that the blaze is spreading along Highway 32 in the Mill Creek drainage, northwest of Butte Meadows .
