LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE DETAILS) – Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Beth Chapman quickly denounced a UK decision to deny her husband and co-star Duane “Dog” Chapman entry into the UK. Beth Chapman tells news and fans that Dog Chapman was wrongly denied VISA entry to the UK because of a crime he didn’t commit.
In a news statement Sunday, Chapman told news that the UK decision was “pretty narrow minded”. She added that “isn’t it 35 years ago he went to jail for something he didn’t do.” Beth also told news that “officials gave an affidavit that that reflects as much.”
British news is reporting that Charles Love, a Pampa police office, gave the statement. In it, Love told news that Chapman’s role in the case was “minor”.
Chapman served one and a half years of a five-year sentence, the Guardian is reporting, after his friend murdered Jerry Oliver in Pampa, Texas in 1976.
But Chapman was not involved in the murder, Beth tells news. Rather, Dog was sitting outside in his car waiting for what he believed was a marijuana purchase to occur.
For that reason, Beth told new that Dog “went to jail for something he didn’t do” and adding “if that’s true how do you explain Tyson, Snoop Dog and many others.” She further commented “why is this a special case.”
As early as August 11, Beth was tweeting that Dog was still “trying to get the visa”. Chapman was to appear Celebrity Big Brother House.
