Cam’ron Not Dead – Cameron Giles Battles Erroneous Death Reports

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Cam’ron is not dead. Rapper and actor Cam’ron (Cameron Ezike Giles) is battling a resurgence of an erroneous death report that he faced several years ago. The star of the upcoming projects Killa Season Pt 2 is being killed off tonight by fake reports that aren’t new. In 2006, Cam’ron delivered the album Killa Season. This year, he followed it up Killa Season 2. But tonight he is being killed off by erroneous reports that resemble fake tales from back in 2008.
Four years ago this week, Cam’ron was the victim of an erroneous August 5, 2008 claim that he fell to his death. The fabricated story read at the time “Myrtle Beach police are investigating the rapper Cam’ron’s death after he fell from a 10th floor balcony onto a fifth floor parking deck early this morning at Hotel Blue, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.”

The author of the fabricated story in 2008 had taken another
death report and simply swapped in the rapper’s name. As one fan noted at the time, “didn’t know Camron was … from Kentucky.”
While the rapper was tweeting less than twenty-four hours ago, some fans are being confused today by the latest erroneous death reports aimed at Cam’ron. On Wednesday, he wrote “First I had meetings. Then I went to see da homies, now it’s beach time.” But tonight, a series a fabricated death reports are surfacing online.

Ironically, while Cam’ron and 50 Cent made news five years ago for their public feud, both rappers tonight have something in common: several false death reports. Previously, the two fumed live on the Angie Martinez Show on Hot 97 radio. After that radio session, both took their feud to a new level, releasing tracks about one another. 50 Cent made news at the time with “Funeral Music” while Cam’ron released “Curtis” and “Curtis Pt II”.
But today, both rappers are battling similar death reports. Global Associated aka Mediafetcher is currently claiming that 50 Cent drowned (he didn’t). In this latest tale of fiction, the website asserts that 50 was on a yacht, vacationing in St Tropez, France. Another tale claims that 50 Cent died today on a vacation “in a marina on Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands.” And yet a third claims he crashed on a snowboard in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. 50 Cent is not dead, nor is Cam’ron or Lil Wayne.
